OAG Directorate fully staffed once again

Bern, 15.12.2021 - The Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland (OAG) has successfully filled the vacancies for heads of the General Secretariat and of Communications by appointing two experienced professionals. With these arrivals, the OAG Directorate once again has a full complement of members.

The new Secretary General will be Barbara Küpfer. She currently heads a project management organisation in the Corporate Customer Division at Swisscom, and will take up her position at the OAG in April 2022. In Barbara Küpfer, the Directorate is acquiring a highly qualified executive who brings extensive expertise in leadership, transformation, project management, HR and IT. Daniela Sigrist will be the new Chief Information Officer, beginning her work on 1 March 2022. At present she is Head of Communications at the Bern Cantonal Police and will provide a wealth of knowledge in relation to communicative incident management and internal communications.

In addition, Claire Zischg has already been appointed as the new head of HR at the OAG. She took up her position on 1 September 2021. As an HR specialist who has gained extensive knowledge of human resources management within the Federal Administration at the FDFA and DETEC, she will guarantee continuity and the further development of HR at the OAG.

This means that from 2022 the OAG Directorate will comprise the following members:

  • Stefan Blättler, Attorney General of Switzerland (from 1 January 2022)
  • Ruedi Montanari, Deputy Attorney General of Switzerland
  • Jacques Rayroud, Deputy Attorney General of Switzerland
  • Barbara Küpfer, Secretary General (from April 2022)
  • Carlo Bulletti, Federal Attorney, Head of the National Security and Organised Crime Division
  • Dounia Rezzonico, Federal Attorney, Head of the White-Collar Crime Division
  • André Beck, Federal Attorney, Head of the Mutual Assistance, Terrorism, International Criminal Law and Cybercrime Division
  • Fabian Carrard, Head of the Forensic Financial Analysis Division
  • Daniela Sigrist, Chief Information Officer (from 1 March 2022)
  • Claire Zischg, Head of HR

The two Deputy Attorneys General, Ruedi Montanari and Jacques Rayroud, will remain in charge of the OAG until the new Attorney General of Switzerland, Stefan Blättler, assumes office on 1 January 2022. They have been the joint heads of the OAG since 1 September 2020.

Both the Attorney General of Switzerland designate and the two current joint heads are convinced that in appointing their new colleagues, they have found the ideal solutions. Furthermore, by filling the remaining vacancies in the Directorate, a crucial requirement for continuing the OAG’s successful operations as the Swiss Confederation’s prosecution authority has been met.
