New regulation of the foreign offering from the SSR SRG
Bern, 03.06.2016 - The Federal Council is concluding a new four-year performance agreement with the SSR SRG in relation to its foreign information offering. Its components include the ten-language internet platform swissinfo.ch, the Italian-language website tvsvizzera.it and cooperation with the international television broadcasters TV5 and 3sat. The Confederation is contributing to the tune of CHF 20 million per year from 2017 to 2020. The SSR SRG has a legal mandate to inform Swiss people living abroad about current affairs in their home country and to promote Switzerland's media presence abroad.
