Invitation to the press briefing - A Panorama of Swiss Society 2024: Old age and ageing in contemporary society

Neuchâtel, 12.08.2024 - Our ageing society is undergoing significant changes in many areas of everyday life. This transformation is particularly evident in healthcare, finances, the employment of older adults and social participation. The availability of impartial and reliable information for the various stakeholders — political decision-makers, public administrations, academia and civil society — is key in preparing our country to face the challenges presented by an ageing population. The Panorama of Swiss Society series is the fruit of cooperation between research in official statistics and in social science in universities. It continues the aim of the Swiss Social Report by publishing important findings on key socio-political topics and fundamental trends in Swiss society. The FSO will present these findings at a press briefing held in collaboration with the Swiss Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Universities of Neuchâtel and Fribourg. The briefing will take place prior to the launch of the publication, in the presence of several of the authors.
