New spatial units for Swiss statistics

Neuchâtel, 28.06.2024 - To allow for more detailed analysis of the country's territory, two additional spatial divisions are now available. The first of these divides the country into 3607 units at a more granular level than that of the Swiss commune. The second divides it into 751 units of approximately 10 000 inhabitants. This latest addition from the Federal Statistical Office is intended to empower users to unlock the full potential of statistics and increase their scope of application.
