Mine clearance in Ukraine

Switzerland is strengthening its collaboration with Fondation suisse de déminage, the Swiss demining foundation. Between now and 2027, Switzerland will contribute CHF 30 million to support humanitarian demining in Ukraine.

Switzerland's good offices

Hosting the Summit on Peace in Ukraine was the latest in a series of examples of Switzerland playing an instrumental role in fostering peace.

Through its good offices, Switzerland has accompanied over 30 peace processes in more than 20 countries in recent years.

EU Pact on Migration and Asylum

The European asylum system should be more efficient, resilient and fair. As an associated Schengen/Dublin state, Switzerland will participate in the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum – voluntarily and selectively.

Switzerland and the European Union

The Federal Council’s primary objective is to consolidate and further develop the bilateral path with the EU via a package of new and revised cooperation and market access agreements. At its meeting on 26 June 2024, the Federal Council took stock of the current negotiations.
